Jodi Fitzpatrick, ASID, CID, AKBD attended Wellesley College, where she studied English Literature, and received a bachelor's degree in Interior Design from California State University, Fresno. She's worked as a design assistant in small and large residential and commercial design firms, as a public works estimator for a commercial flooring company and as a kitchen and bath designer for The Home Depot and a small general contractor. She currently writes and consults on kitchen and bath design. She and her husband are part-owners and -operators of a commercial flooring subcontracting business. They live with their two dogs in a home that's in desperate need of remodeling.

Peg Koontz holds a valid California general contractor's license. She studied journalism and women's studies at California State University, Fresno before leaving to pursue work in the building trades. She is a partner in Kincaid Koontz Construction in Fresno, California; a company that specializes in architecturally-sensitive remodeling, room additions and renovations. Peg is passionate about instilling confidence in women regarding remodeling projects; be they professionally-run or Do-It-Yourself.
