We are Jodi Fitzpatrick, ASID, CID, AKBD and Peg Koontz, of Kincade Koontz Construction, hailing from California's Central Valley, USA. We're here to present non-commercial information on home remodeling from the vantage of two professionals in the fields of construction, remodeling and kitchen and bath design.
We'll debate the virtues of thousand dollar toilets, and dis' folks who say that same thousand dollars will give you a new bathroom in one Saturday afternoon. We'll expose the home remodeling industry as the product-pushing, anti-labor, environmentally-disastrous, democracy-killing monster it is. No one owns us, baby. But if you want to know our opinion on the best vinyl or wood windows, whole house water filters or whether to install ceramic tile or hardwood flooring in your kitchen, we'll be discussing that too. As well as how we would decide to use, hire, or negotiate with, a general contractor, subcontractor, designer, architect, engineer, inspector or planchecker.
We're not here to sell you our labor. Fitzpatrick is not accepting clients. Koontz is, on a limited referral basis. This blog is our rebuttle to the plethora of misinformation on these subjects that the average homeowner has no way of distinguishing as hogpiddle. And it's our own personal rant, of course.
